Sanded cowling split lines for 1/16″ gap.
Installed oil door hinge. The rotation is off, binding with the cowl edge. I think I need to get the hinge axis closer to the door plane and maybe add a door spacer.

Trimmed flange and floxed to cowl.
Cut out inside upper cowl honey comb for flange layup. Cut and trimmed supplied fiberglass oil door. Applied fiberglass and peel ply.
Deburred cowl hinges.
Fabricated pin retainer template.
Countersunk cowling hinge rivet holes.
Cut out access for oil filler door.
Match drilled hinges to cowling.
Drilled hole in upper cowling above oil filler tub then marked oil door lines.
Fabricated door flanges out of spare fiberglass.
Finished threading inner baffle rods.
Cut and sanded upper cowl split line to match lower cowl. Fits pretty well.
Marked rivet lines on hinges.
Began threading baffle tension rods.
Match drilled upper cowl to skybolt flanges. Some mood lighting for construction pleasure. Backlight helped to locate flange center.
Installed grommets and studs. Sanded lower cowling upper edge flat. Marked split lines on upper cowling.
Sanded lower cowl for good fit to fuselage. Trimmed and sanded upper cowlfor good fit to fuselage. Drilled lower cowl for grommets. Riveted lower receptacles to flanges.
Got to looking at my upper left engine mount and the Barry mount was not as compressed as the right. Turns out that I accidentally put the long bolt in the top. -43 top and -44 bottom.
So got those swapped out then had to realign the cowl and redraw the cut lines. Got the cowl aft side rough cut. Added two remaining top flange rivets.
