Spent most of the day rechecking and measuring. aileron and flap rigging. Won’t know how accurate I am until it flies.
So I went ahead and started hand forming flap fairings to to contour fuselage.

Trimmed, edge prepped, bend, and match drilled right forward fuel tank root fairing.
Drilled aft fairing forward edge to spar flanges. Trimmed, edge prepped, and match drilled right wing root fairing to fuel tank flange.
Started out with 1 5/8″ OD conduit to make leading edge bend then reduced to 1 1/4″ to tighten up properly.
Finished fabricating tank to fuselage vent lines. That’s the last of them. I’ve made several over the past two years, glad to say I’m finished.
Filed aft wing fairings to fit and joggled forward edge to overlap skin.
Relieved right center fuselage side skin for proper pushrod clearance. I made a template of the left side and transferred it to the right to save time. Edge prepped holes and floor rib flanges. Installed pushrods and ops checked.
Fabricated template for aft floor pushrod exit holes.
Enlarged center section skins to accommodate left flap pushrod. Lots of trimming, install, trim some more. I added one washer as per plans to increase distance between rod and side skin.
Trimmed inboard edges of flaps for proper clearance.
Installed flap actuator after relieving cutout on aft left arm rest.
Deburred fuel line flares.
Match drilled center bottom skins to inviard wing ribs.
Jigged ailerons and adjusted W816 control rods between the control column and bellcranks.
Installed ailerons and checked for center. Measured throws at 30°UP/17°DN.
Installed flap drive rods and flaps to wing.
Fabricated left and right fuselage to wing send and return lines. Not a lot of room to work in between! Short 6D fuel lines are not easy to bend. Any shorter and I would not have been able to flare the end fitting.
Reamed aft spars, spar attach complete!
Match drilled F863 to F405 and bolted to the fuselage.
Began fabricating vent and fuel lines.
