Continued wih lay up on left side of canopy. Sanded edges of previous layups. Just realized I was shorted a couple yards from AS. So as soon as I get the rest in I can finish the last layup.

Canopy fiberglass: 3.6 hours
Sanded second coat of micro. Cut 2.5″ fiberglass strips and began layup.
Canaopy: 1.8 hours
Sanded micro then added more micro to flat spots.
Canopy: 2.2 hours
Sanded canopy to flange overlap. Applied micro to corners.
Canopy bonding: 2.0 hours
Positioned canopy over frame then applied Hysol 9430 to flange and canopy.
Finally bonded canopy to frame. Building the canopy is probably the hardest part so far. Still have a ways to go but I think it’s down hill from here, I hope!
Canopy frame: 5.1 hours
Drilled striker anchor block for closed and taxi positions.
Installed remaining latch rod. Took a while to get the latching mechanism running smoothly especially the taxi latch rod. Some lube after everything is painted should make it perfect. Sanded and painted touch up areas. Installed gas strut.
Inside of canopy frame complete.
Painting: 4.0 hours
Sanded and primed seat back support then painted. Finished touch up painting canopy aft bulkhead and canopy rails. Added micro and epoxy skim coat to instrument sub panel.
Canopy frame painting: 2.5 hours
Sanded and painted aft side of aft canopy bulkhead. Installed seat back suport to center section bulkhead.
Found another area that needs to be smooted and repainted hole his is the last round!
Seat back support: 1.0 hours
Got my parts back from TIG welding. Added micro, sanded support, then added a little more micro.
Empennage fairings 1.1 hours
Finished match drilling empennage and gap fairings. Drilled and tapped longerons for 6-32 screws.
