Deburring: 4.8 hours

Deburred upper longerons and trimmed aft ends to final shape.

Deburred aft bottom skin and drilled drain holes. Began deburring aft side skins, lower, and mid longerons.

Dimple and deburr: 5.5 hours

Dimpled aft top ribs, deburred cockpit rails, and front seat support.

Deburring begins: 3.0 hours

Deburred aft top skins and ribs.

Tail spring mount: 3.2 hours

Match drilled tail spring mount to F811. I measured what seemed like fifty different ways, I think it’s straight.
Trimmed lower aft skin for tail spring mount.

Match drilling complete 5.7 hours

Match drilled gearbox webs to longerons. I used a ratchet strap and 1/8 angle to match edges. I really had to crank it down as Vans said this is normal.

Match drilled forward seatback support to cockpit rails. Took a lot of time due to close tolerance between parts. The aft #19 holes for #8 screws will not have proper edge distance with the spacers. This is okay since it is only a spacer. All clamped up for drilling.

Complete!

Fabricated tails spring mount shims. Installed mount into position for match drilling.

More match drilling: 5.2 hours

Match drilled cockpit rails to longerons and seat back supports to bulkheads.

Match drilling: 5.8 hours

Match drilled aft deck to longerons, turtle deck and aft ribs to aft side skins.

Trimmed aft end cockpit rails for proper fit.

Aft ribs and skin: 6.4 hours

Match drilled upper aft ribs to lower ribs. Began match drilling skin to ribs. Center ribs were a challange as ribs are not prepunched and hard to adjust into position.

Aft bulkheads: 2.7 hours

Match drilled bottom forward fuselage. Edge prepped and fluted aft bulkhead ribs.

More match drilling: 3.1 hours

Finished match drilling aft fuselage. Thats was a lot of holes! The clecos represent about 1/3 of the holes.

I gotta build a couple floor stands stands for the fuselage now.
